Shotgun frustration

2016/7/22 9:06:52

Question
I came across a very old shot gun, my best guess is it is between 40-60 years old. I am unsure of the size shot it takes, it is a bolt action, with a removable clip and has an adjustable choke. I know nothing else about the gun it is in good shape but has no branding, the only number on the gun is 3265547. I would really appreciate any consideration you give this message and any clues or ideas you may have about the gun.

Answer
not enough info, if you have a picture that may help, but I would get different size shotgun shells and try them out 410 or 20gauge is what I  would guess for a bolt action but could be a 12 or 16 gauge, trying different shells will help narrow it down.  The gun has to have a name on it somewhere, maybe under the hand guards, take it apart, oil it and find a name, if it has a serial number, it has a name.
