Question
My friend has inherited a Model 1911 s11 pump shot gun. She needs to insure it and I am wondering the value that it should be insured. The gun is in mint condition other than the wear that comes from being so old. Could you help?

Answer
Hi,
1911 is a semi auto shotgun, not a pump.
It had 2 grades and its condition would effect value.
To be in excellent condition it would need to be practically unused.

plain
Its worth $200 to $550

fancy
Its worth $250 to $800

I would get written apprasial from a gunsmith for insurence.
