Question

I have a .50 caliber kentucky rifle the serial number is 91804593 im not to good when it comes to muzzle loaders is there anything you can tell me about this gun and if by chance its worth anything thankyou

Answer
Hello David. .50 caliber Kentucky rifle serial number 91804593 actually tells me nothing. From your picture, the brass looks like a Connecticut Valley Arms with a percussion-lock firing system. It is not an antique, but it is a very good quality reproduction of an early 1800's long range  rifle. It is said that individuals from Kentucky were such good shots, they were chosen as sharpshooters from the Civil War thru Viet Nam. You can still purchase these rifles from $125-$250. I hope this information answers your question and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
