Question
we have a richard 12 gauge double barrel shot gun with 2 hammers. would like to know value. working condition.barrel is belgium laminated steel.sn 10875. other markings LG25 on barrel.

Answer
Hello Angela.

I wasn't able to find the "A. Richard" shotguns in any blue book lists but I did find several online references. Apparently these guns were made in the late 1800s and early 1900s and they were sold as inexpensive "hardware store" guns. One reference stated they were sold in Belgium and another said they were exported for the American market - both accounts may be true. The few online sales and price estimates that I found were all in the same range indicating a low value of $150-$200 depending on condition. For a more accurate appraisal you could take it to a local gunsmith or a large gunshop and see what they think.

Hope this helps.

Bob
