JCHiggins Model 45

2016/7/22 9:13:24

Question
I have a JC Higgins .30-.30 my father left to me. It is a Model 45, and has the number 103.450 underneath the Sears Roebuck stamp. If memory serves me, that may be the Sears model number. It's at least 35 years old. Might it have anything other than as a shooter? If not, no big deal. Also, which company actually made the JCHiggins guns?

Answer
Hi Everett.

Blue book value data here (it has little value):

https://store.bluebookinc.com/InstantAccess/Category.aspx?product=5&id=464

And this report confirms your gun was made by Marlin with their model 336:

Hope this helps.
