rem model 700 adl to bdl

2016/7/22 9:14:01

Question
I have a 700 adl and want to by an aftermarket stock for. The stock I want says i'm supposed to do a conversion to the bdl. where can i get this conversion?

Answer
The model 700 bolt and receiver are the same, as is the barrel (depending on what barrel it is configured for).

The only real difference between the ADL and BDL is that the ADL has a blind magazine. The ADL has a bottom plate that you can open and dump the cartridges without having to cycle them through the action.

If the stock is configured for the BDL, then, yes, you must do a conversion, which consists of a different different magazine body with trapdoor (unfortunately, much more money than it should cost).

Brownells or Midway should have the conversion parts you need.
