Question
I was wondering if you might be able to answer a couple of questions for me.  I was wanting to know what date my A5 was born and what choke the barrel is.  Serial number is:7G1494. Barrel has numerous markings on it.... wouldn't know where to start as far as descriptors....  help if you can. Please reply to

thanks,

Jeff

Answer
Jeff,

Your Auto 5 was made in 1967. The choke can be determined by what is on the barrel. You need to look at the symbols. For instance, * full choke, ** Modified, *- Improved Modified, **- Improved Cylinder, **$ Skeet, *** = Cylinder. The stamping will be on the side of the barrel. Hope this helps.
