I have a Marlin semi-auto 22 rifle model # 99c and would like to know the production year of the gun. Thanks

Without additional information I cannot nail down an exact year of manufacture. However, I can tell you that Marlin produced the model 99C from 1962 to 1978.

On Marlin rifles in general, those made between 1946 and 1968 a year of manufacture can often be determined by a letter prefix on the serial number.

You could contact Marlin directly and try to obtain the info based upon the rifles serial number..... or.... if you have a letter prefix on the serial number I could help you further.
