Browning 12 gauge

2016/7/22 9:18:29

Question
I received a 12 gauge from my uncle.  I believe it is an Auto 5. Serial Number is 165721. Has full 12 special steel on L/H side of the barrel. Gun is in good to excellent condition. Would you know the year made and value? Thank you for your reply.

Answer
Hi Keith,

I don't have access to my serial number information right now, but will try to help you by this weekend. Thanks.

Jim

Keith,

Your Auto 5 was made in late 1929 or early 1930. It should have a round knob pistol grip and a safety in front of the trigger guard. As far as value, it all depends on condition, originality, vent rib, and no recoil pad. Generally speaking you could expect $850-$1250 maybe more to the right individual. Hope this helps.
