better triger

Question
I am really starting to enjoy this forum. I can ask questions that dealers give
you the are you stupid look.

Thanks for all your help.

I have a DPMS AR15 .22lr. The current trigger pull is horrible. Because the .
22lr is a blow back design and not the gas. Can I still get a lighter trigger for
the gun without hindering the operation?

Answer
The trigger on the lower has absolutely nothing to do with the upper assembly.  Unless the springs are ridiculously light, nothing you put in there is likely to cause ignition failures.

If you understand the function of your fire control system, the JP Enterprises trigger is a second-to-none single stage trigger, and while not cheap,is cheaper than those from companies like Accuracy Speaks.  You don't have to be a gunsmith to install one, but you do have to understand the fire control system, and have a grinding wheel, a steady hand, and the confidence to do it.

If you aren't that daring, the two-stage trigger by Rock River Arms is superb, and is a drop-in fit.  If you can remove your hammer, trigger-disconnector, and safety selector, you can install that trigger.

If even that is beyond what you want to do, simply get the lightweight spring kit from JP Enterprises.  You don't really even have to install the trigger spring.  Just take out the hammer, replace the spring, and you will have about a 4lbs trigger.  Put some moly grease on the sear engagement, and it will be a smooth, if long pull.

I have owned or build guns with all these triggers.  I don't think you'd be disappointed in the least with the last option, and you can't beat the cost (under $10).
