rifle selfdefense all experts question

Question
im going to by either an 8mm mauser or a mosin nagant
7.62x54 rifle for self defense against large game. What
is a better choice in your opinion? i cant afford any
other rifles, im getting a good deal with these 2 choices.
any info would be helpful. the more the better. Thanks

I'm more than a bit confused by the question but taking it at face value alone, I'd go with a Mauser action and 8mm over the 7.62. There are a lot of "depending" issues concerning this, but this is my best answer based upon the information provided.
