State Law

2016/7/22 9:23:44

Question
What is, on average or in your state, the law in regards to carrying a plainly visable firearm in public? The weapon, of course, being legally owned.

Thank you,
Ryan
Ohio

Answer
In North Carolina (that's where I live), open carry is allowed without any permit, as long as the person has no felony or mental incapacity on record.  To carry concealed, a person needs to take a training course and get a concealed carry permit.

Hope this helps!

Dave
