do you have info on where I may find the rear sight for this weapon? It has a screw down, and is set between two nubs that appear to be cast with barrel

They have what you are looking for...the Springfield Model 86 was a brand name of Stevens Arms. If you go to the manufacturer listing, under "S" you will see a listing for Savage/Stevens/Springfield...go there and look up your model number. The entire sight assembly will probably run you about $12-$13 plus shipping...
