Answer
Sheila,

As my bio said, I don't do valuations of guns, but you can look at such guns on firearms auctions sites online.

The IJ revolvers are plentiful, and not very valuable. In near 100% you'll see them offered for $350, but I don't know anyone buying them for that. Typically such guns will go from anywhere from $50-$150 in working order.

That is an old gun, and not a particularly strong design. If you are going to shoot it at all, I would have it checked over by a competent gunsmith to verify that it is safe to fire. If you really want to learn to shoot, I'd strongly recommend you get a more modern revolver (Ruger would be my recommendation for a balance of quality and price).

Best to you.
