Smithsonian Shotgun History, Manufacturer & Parts Breakdown

Question
I wold like to now how old it is and the manufacuer and can you find a parts brake down so i can fix the ejection pin

Answer
Hello Tony. Your Smithsonian shotgun was made by either Crescent Firearms Company of Norwich, Conn. or Crescent-Davis Arms Corporation of Norwich, Conn. The Crescent from the 1920's to 1930 is described as having a side-lock trigger mechanism. The Crescent-Davis from 1930's, however, had a box-lock trigger mechanism. Wisner's Gun Parts may be able to help you with your part. Don't expect the part to be easily found, since Crescent and Crescent-Davis together made and imported over a hundred shotguns. Many were identical to each other, with the only difference being the company name stamped on the receiver. I hope this helps you find your part and thank you for asking for me. Charles Gage
