how do i research the age of a S&W 4" barrel model 19-3 357 magnum in very good to excellent condition plus what they are worth. Not very many online to look at. Thank you

You can try and check serial numbers for the date of manufacturer. You can contact Smith & Wesson with the model and serial number and they will give you a date.  I no longer give value estimates since I cannot examine the condition of the gun.
