Mossberg 410D-B: Can It Fire .44 Magnum or .45 Colt? Safety Concerns
Question
i have a mossberg 410d-b, a friend said it may be able to fire 44 mags. is this true?
Answer
Partially true..
A rock or hammer will also fire a .44 mag if you hit it in the right spot.
A .410 shotgun cannot handle the pressure from a .44 magnum round, there have been .410 shotguns that shoot the .45 colt, not to be conused with the .45 ACP.. If it is not designed for anything other than a .410 shell, I would stay FAR FAR away from it! You would likely end up dead or blind trying to shoot the wrong caliber or style ammo out of your gun!
