First let me tell you a little about the gun.  Though it was called H-D Military it was not manufactured for the government.  It was an H-D with an external safety.  If you gun has a plastic grip, it was an early manufacture.  If it has a hardwood grip, it was a later gun.  They were manufactured between 1945 and 1950 and roughly 150,000 were made.

In terms of values, I can't give you anything definitive without actually examining the gun.  I will give you the range in the current Blue Book of Gun Values.
