Antique Firearm Valuation: Springfield Model 1878 & .38 Special

Question
1st- my grandmother has an old Springfield model 1878 and i was wondering how much it was worth?

2nd- my grandmother also has an old 38 special ctg that belonged to my grandfather. the only numbers that i can find on this is the serial # and a date of Sept. 14 09. My grandfather bought this gun approximately 65 years ago.

Hello Brian. You have not given me enough information to help at all. I need all information written on each firearm. I need to know if they are rifles,pistols or shotguns.
