Hawes Western Marshall .22 Caliber Ammunition - LR vs. Magnum
Question
Hello Mr.Expert,
I'd like to purchase some ammunition and do not know if this Hawes Western Marshall pistol uses the short or long caliber bullet. The only number that may be the model number is: 53682-2- . . . can't make out the last number. Please help. Thank you ! ! !
Answer
Gerald,
The Hawes Western Marshal was made in a variety of calibers. In terms of .22 caliber it was only made in .22 LR (long rifle) or .22 Mag (Magnum). My guess is that you have a .22 LR as that would be the most common one. You can verify that by looking at the gun. On the side of the barrel it should clearly be stamped with either a .22 LR or .22 Mag.
The two are not interchangeable, so if the .22 LR fits, that's what it is...
Hope this helps...
