Which goes farther? Charles Daly 12 gauge shotgun, a D.P.M.S. Pather  Arms 5.56 cal AR-15 or a .40 cal. Beretta.

The guns they are launched from are irrelevant. The 5.56 will go the furthest, the .40 the next furthest because there is spin to stabilize it, and the 12 gauge will go the least far, but slugs will go further, buckshot further than birdshot, and birdshot least far of all.
