Remington 1100 Value: 1970s 12 Gauge Shotgun Appraisal

Question
I would like to know the value of my shotgun for private party sale.  It is an early 70's Remington 1100 12 gauge with 28" barrel.  It is brand new in the original box with all original materials/paperwork, never fired, and the condition would rate at 100%.  No scuffs, scratches, blemishes, corrosion, or anything else negative.  It has the synthetic stock, which I believe was a fairly new thing for this period.  Serial # is N5927xxV.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and best regards,
Dale

Answer
Hi Dale,

Yes, I would agree. If you have a 70's vintage 1100 with a synthetic stock that would have to been a very early version. I will admit that I personally was not even aware of any made in the 70's at all (?).. Hmmmmmm. Even I learn something new on here ! I guess I've never really researched or had reason to know that one.

Anyway, if the shotgun is in "Exc" to "NIB"...... it would have an approximate retail value of $450 to $550. You could at least start there and work down if you really needed to but this would be a good "asking" point.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your sale and thank you for the question Dale.
