Enfield No.4 Mk2(F) .303 British Rifle Value & History - Interarms Marking
Question
I have found a good bit of info on this rifle, it has no mods, appears to be all original. Although it is Etched "IAC Alex Va" I assume this means it was imported via Interarms, dated 9/49. Can you tell me if the value is degraded by this marking by IAC? Also, the serial range is PF1xx.1xx, can you tell me anything about the original production?
Answer
It is a WWII production rifle, not sure of year, but they were made at numerous factories, I believe the F means it was made at Fazakerley. Import marks do hurt value somewhat. In 60% condition it's worth about $100., in 100% condition about $400.(retail). Thanks.
