Wards Western Field .22LR Rifle Repair & Date of Manufacture
Question
i have found a 22s-l-lr western fields by Wards and the stock is totaled. Is it possible to get a replacement of the original or do I need to have one made from scratch. Also, how would I go about determining the manufacture date?
Answer
James,
If you are up for doing some research you should find everything that you need at Numrich Gun Parts Co. at www.e-gunparts.com
They have a cross reference guide listed for "hardware store" guns such as the Western Field. You will need to know which model number the Wards rifle is then cross reference it. When you have that info you can then pursue the history and value of the like model E.G. Stevens, Mossberg, Winchester, etc.
I hope this helps get you started. If not let me know and if I can help you further, I'll do my best.
Thanks for the question James.
