Removing Glass Bedding from a Rifle Barrel - A Guide
Question
a friend of mine attempted glass bedding his rifle. he apparently forgot to put release compound on the rifle barrel and now has a lilja barrel attached to his wood stock with glass bedding compound. is there any way to remove the compound without damaging either the barrel or the stock?
thank you

Answer
the only way I know to do it, is to take a Dremel tool with small cutting wheel (wear safety glasses) and gently cut between the barrel and the stock. A little rebluing and some stock bedding to fix the residual damage will be necessary.
BUT I would take it to a GOOD Gun Smith and let them do it.
