Identify bullet

I have a very large bullet, its about 6" long and about 1 1/2" wide. On the bottom it reads PDP  333  9 17. Can you tell me what it is and maybe its age. What was it used in?

You are probably referring to the overall size of the shell itself and not the bullet (the top part of the shell that leaves the barrel of the gun) If you could give me exact measurements or better yet a pic, it would go a long way to establishing this bullet/shell. If not.... It is probably a Chinese Artillery shell with 333 being the size (in millimeters) of the diameter of the bullet. This is not certain but my main source for this type of research has no reference to 333 (331 is Chinese), PDP or 9 17 (North Korean or Chinese).
