I have been skating for about 2 weeks now and i can do stationary ollies o.k But.... if i hit the tail on the floor to get in the air i can only do the ollie ocasionally. if i dont quite hit the tail on the floor i can do them everytime... Anytips. Anyhoo, moving ollies - i cant do them, basically, thats it in a nutshell. I have tried doing them slow at first then getting faster but it just wont lift at all.... And its SOOOOOOOOOO fustrating. I just get really p***ed off and come inside (like right now i might add) i was just wondering if you had any general tips for me. Cheers.

Answer
Ahh, you're at the tough stage of skating, only two weeks in, I feel your pain. I went through what you're going through and I had no hope whatsoever of being able to ollie at all, now I can pop well over two foot ollies no problem. The fact that you can already ollie, period, at two weeks says you have a little talent, so remember that next time you get frustrated. Here's my advice: ride around on your board all day, every day. Go down hills, around corners, just get comfortable riding your skateboard. It helps immensely. Go find some low grass or carpet and pop a million ollies, teach your body the motion. When you're nice and confident, take it to the streets. Don't give up or get pissed off, just try and figure out what you're doing wrong and correct it. Try jumping higher, sliding your foot up slower, popping harder, anything you can think of. That's skateboarding. Good luck!
