Searching for a ski

2016/7/15 11:39:20

Question
I demo-ed two pairs of skis last season at Alta. I loved them and want to buy
them now that theyre a season old and cheaper, but I cant remember what
they were. They were likely either a women-specific ski or at least very
maneuverable, for expert skiiers, for power/all-mountain/off-piste, and I
think they were both purple (one more a lavendar). Neither had flowers on it
(too girly). Ive been trying to google them to no avail and tried calling Alta but
the guy didnt remember well what they carried last year. I there a place I can
find a complete listing of 05/06 skis? Do you have any suggestions on
hunting these down? Thanks so much!

Answer
Hi Rachel,

I hate when that happens! OK, it sounds like you are describing the Rossignol Scratch FS... but it's difficult to get it based upon just the color.

I'd ignore the girly part and check out the K2 Lotta Luv, it's an awesome womens ski. Another consideration may be the Head Wild Thang, or Volkl Attiva, but neither are really powder skis, and neither fit the description.

Try skinet.com and check out the gear-finder. Open your searches up to more than women's specific, more than one model year, and you'll see just about everything produced.

Good Luck!

Ron
