HI Pat

Can you please tell me what is a reasonable size skating Rink is.... & where is the best place to go for purchasing Roller Skates & how many do you get when it is your first time operating.. as I know there will be people who bring there own..

Janine

Answer
Hi Janine,
Rinks vary in size.  The average rink floor around here is 75' x 180'.  Of course you could go smaller depending on what you're using your floor for.  If it's just public skating sessions, then smaller is fine.  If you plan to have a competitive artistic club then I would go with the larger size floor.

As for purchasing skates to rent?  Try this web site.  It's our Roller Skating Association International. When you get to the site, look at the top and click on the "Classified Ads" link.  You can probably find some used rental skates there.

If you want new skates then go to the contact page on that site and email them your question. They will be able to answer all of your questions about skates and how many you will need.  Keep in mind that there are more people who rent skates than there are people who own their own.

Good Luck I wish you the best with your new rink

Pat
