Answer
Hi Peter and thanks for the question, sorry for the delay in replying

Unfortunately im not able to suggest brands and styles of ski as i now live
in far-west victoria & have been off snow for a few more seasons then i like to think about.

You will want to find a ski that is about nose high.
Go for a flex that suits your ski style:
- softer for quicker turns more often and bumps
- firmer for long fast skiing
- medium if you like to mix it up and if you ski an icier resort.
Flex is determined by pushing on the ski between the binding and feeling how fast it bounces back.

Bindings need to accommodate your DIN setting - so dont just buy any pair becasue they are cheap.  DIN is a numerical setting determined by your age, gender, weight, height, ski and boot length and skier type.

Visit a few ski shops and ask then which ski they suggest and why. See if there is a common ski type they are suggesting - however take into consideration many have seller rights to different brands so that we the buyers have more choice.
