Broken mast base

Hi there! I have an old (24years i guess) mistral maui. Yesterday i went surfing and the mastbase broke (the red plastic thing). I just tryed to find a new one on the internet but i couldn't find one. Are these still made? How can i get a new one.

ps: i found a picture of the one 1 need

Hey Oystein,

Those parts are not made any more. Ebay is one of the few places you might be able to find one. I can't open the image to see what you are talking about but I'm fairly sure what you mean. You can attach an image to a question and it comes up where I can see it.

If I remember correctly, the plastic part has a bungie line that ties to the front of the board to keep the part pointing forward. This keeps the lip on the bottom pin under the rods to hold the base in place. You may be able to fashion a new part out of a piece of hard wood or plastic if you are not able to find a replacement.
