Question
how do you know what size board you are?

im 5'6 what size should i get?

Answer
Hey Savannah,

I'm not much of a surfer. I prefer a sail on my boards and they are usually quite a bit longer than regular surfboards.

The size you would need would depend upon your ability level. Most beginner surfers need a longer board for better floatation and they are easier to stand up on. If you are intermediate or advanced, then a shorter board would work for you. It would also depend upon the size of the waves that you would normally be surfing most. My best advice would be to check out the closest shop to you and talk to the people there. They are most likely surfers and would be able to give you much better help than I could. Thanks for asking.

Hope you find what will suit you best.
