Beginners board to share with kids

Question
Hello,
I'm 6'2'' 195 lb relative beginner (learning to beach-start).  I'm looking to buy my first board to do some recreational sailing in light-to-medium winds in the Mid-Atlantic area.  I'd like to share my board with my two sons, 13 and 11 years old, with a separate rig for  them.  What volume board would you recommend for us?  I found an ad for a Bic Core 293D, 205 L - would this be too big?  Thanks!

Answer
Hey Greg,

The board you are looking at would be a great board for all of you. Plenty of volume and stability for you and also a great learner board due to the daggerboard. It will also be a good light air board when you all reach intermediate level. The only thing that you might want to consider is a smaller sail for the boys. Depending upon what size sail comes with the board, they may need a smaller sail for easier learning.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
