front shock on haro 8-2 mtbk

Question
I had my bike broken down in a box so i could ship it and when i got home and put it togehter like i thought that it needed to, now the front shock has play in it where it slides into the frame. i dont have anything else to make up for the problem in the box so i put it on wrong i guess..i need your help it has a gasket two spacers and a screw on cap. i have no clue how to make the shock rigid in the frame

What kind of shock is it?

If I see it i can have a better idea but the 1st thing that comes to mind is to try doubling up the washers one ONE end (known as a double seal). If that doesnt work try doubling up on the opposite end and see if that works.

Again, if that doesnt work try different configurations like...spacer / washer / spacer... Or try washer / washer / spacer...get what im saying?
