Understanding Gears for Hill Climbing: Granny Gear & Optimal Ratios
Question
Could you send me a some information about turning the gear? what gear do you turn it to when you are going up steep hills?
Answer
Hello,
Its called the Granny Gear's (the smallest of the three in the front) & the Biggest gear in the back. These are the gears used to climb steep hills. Also when climbing keep your arms tucked in close to your body, sit back in the seat (this adds tracktion to the rear tire) and keep a good steady pace.
Good luck & thanks for the question :)
