Marin Indian Fire Trail with Marzocchi MXC fork

Question
Hi

A colleague at work is selling his bike for ?50.  The frame is as above although he says he needs to replace a couple of parts before it is saleable.  The frame is 2002/2003 and the bike is custom  built.  Do you think this is a reasonable price?

I have only just got into mountain biking having tried a trail in Wales - The Marin Trail.  Apparently this is an intermediate course, I thought it was fantastic.

I have no knowledge whatsoever regarding mountain bikes and only a small budget to buy one... What do you think?

Answer
Hello Laura,

I've have search the internet for some photo's and specs from this bike, and if this is the one (http://www.marinbikes.com/bicycles_2002/cahard/images/zoom/INDIANFI.jpg) it seems very nice.
The fork itselves is a good fork like the reviews on mtbr.com/reviews/front_shocks_2002/product_83759.shtml
Both are excellent, and worth the money. But when this bike is upgraded with nice parts it's worth it.
I don't know if you have tried it allready, and when you feel allright (not stretched out) on this bike the size must be right. Did you check that allready?

When you want more info, please be welcome.

Best regards,

and welcome to the world of bikers.

Michael
