Question
hello, i am currently building a road bike and i have a shimano 105 10sp casset, and a shimano tagra double crank. my question is, can i mix and match the derailleurs with the shifters? (ie... have campagnolo shifters, an sram rear derailleur, and a shimano front derailleur)

Answer
Dear Bob,

Thank you for asking me this question, I love these kind of challenges :-)
Normally it ain't a problem when you mix Shimano together with Shimano, Campa with Campa and
SRAM with their components. And then of course with the 8/9/10 range, and of course you can use other brands of own products from bikebuilders their own, but eventually the precision and reliability will come in danger.
Like your set up, with a 10 speed Shimano cassette will work with 10 speed chains and gears from Campa. Mixing with Sram together with Shimano and Campa will not work, Sram uses a different kind of pulling their derailleurs.
So you must be aware of disfunction of some parts.
If it works well, you are a lucky biker.
There are websites where you can find these information, but I can't tell you this right now.

I hope this answer will do, otherwise you can always contact me again.

With the best regards,

Mick
