Question
Ok, kind of embarrassed to mention this but I'm a 23yr old female and I've never learnt how to ride a bike. I've always wanted to but when I've tried, I've chickened out and given up. How do I overcome this and actually learn? Thanx

Answer
hey,

Dont be embarrassed at all! We all learnt at one point or another to ride a bike.

There is not "technical" info I can give you. The only thing I can tell you is wear a helmet, ride your bike on grass so it will be less intimidating if you fall and have a friend walk beside you and hold you as you ride.

Another thing you can try with a friend is to rent a tandem bike (you know the bike made for two people to ride) one in front and the other in back. That way you can work on your balance, confidence and pedaling while someone experienced takes control and drives the bike.

Once you learn how to you will never forget and you will enjoy it lots. Just keep at it, it should come easy.

Hope this helps and good luck! ~Happy riding : )

...Let me know how it goes k and dont chicken out!! you can do it!!

OH I forgot...learn on a smaller framed bike, again less intimidating. When your good get a bike that the proper size fo you but for now smaller frame bike. I also found this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaqxIXs_mn4 ~ hope it helps LOL
