purchasing a used bike

Question
I hope to become a first-time bike owner soon; I have hopes of making a slightly hilly 4.4 mile commute to work.
Question: What would you pay for a 1993 720 Trek with only 100 miles on the bike and no noticeable damage?  Thanks

Answer
Dear Kate,

A 720 should be a hybrid or commuter bike from Trek, according my history.
And with only 100 miles it must be like new, when the paint doesn't have any scratches.
But beware that you can have costs when the body has been corroded or rusted at the ratchets.
But however, when in mint condition it is a bargain.
A price below 200 dollar is quit good.

And if you need any help, just call me.
