Bicycle tires

Question
All other things being equal, will you ride faster on 700X23 tires than 700X25 size tires?
Thanks,
Royce

Answer
Hello Royce,

In theory it does, in fact it is depending on brand and pressure, weather and the bodyweight of the rider.
25 mmm. is giving also extra comfort, while racers will ride on a 19/20 mm. But the differences between 23 and 25 are that small, truely I do know that some pro-riders are riding with 23 and some heavier fellow will ride on 25's with bad weather. It gives sometime more grip (even the comfort). For races like Paris-Roubaix they ride often 30-38 mm. as well.

Good luck

Mike
