Shoulder Problem after Biking

2016/7/16 9:30:20

Question
Hi Michael,

I'm not sure if you can offer any suggestions with this. After going on a 17 mile ride after not biking for a while, I developed very painful tendonitis in my right shoulder. I've had the problem there for years. I'm assuming, leaning over forward caused it to flare up. Is there any specific rule as to the height of the handlebars? I have a Giant Hybrid type of bike. Any suggestions would be appreciated-thanks.

Answer
Hello Dan,

It's maybe too long ago that you've ridden on the bike.
Wait for a copple of days that it is over, after it you can try it on a short ride, when that's will be ok you can build it up again. When you've keep these problems I suggest to see a doctor.

Kind regard, and happy trails.

Michael
