prices of bikes

I plan on buying a bike for my friend but I am not sure which bike is better.  I really do not know much about bikes. One bike is a mongoose MGX DXR 21 speed mountain bike with shockes in the back and in the front.  The other bike is a 20" mongoose gravity games bike.  How much is each bike brand new?

I can't unfortunately find the old prices from those manufacturers.
Mongoose is a older bikebuilder so the quality can be good, but it depends from how expensive the bike's originally were.
Because also Mongoose has like many others producers cheaper bike's with eithers materials.

So, take a look at Google.com for Mongoose and type for the model you want to buy.
