Bayliner 130 Outboard Motor Not Staying Up - Troubleshooting & Solutions

Outboard will not stay up while in drive. While in neutral I can raise and lower the lower unit for shallow waters but as soon as I put it in drive the motor drops and I cannot raise unless I put it back in neutral. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated as it's a great boat and this is my only problem so far.

I'm not a mechanic, however, it seems you may have an electrical wiring/circuit problem, as I suspect the power trim/tilt mechanism isn't functioning properly. Best you consult a qualified and reliable marine mechanic to resolve the symptoms.
