HI WELL CHECKS BY YOUR VET TO AMKE SURE THE AIR PASSAGED ARE CLEAR AND NO SIGNS OF INFECTIONS OF ANY TYPE. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE HORSE IS DEAD FIT BEFORE MAKING HIM WORK OR RACE. UNFIT HORSES CAN BECOME PRONE TO ALL OF THESE TYPES OF BREATHING PROBLEMS. TOUNGE TIES ALSO USUALLY HELP IN THOSE BREATHING PROBLEMS.  THANKS  ed hess
