racehorse strides per furlong

Question
hello sir. an ideal thoroughbred racehorse is expected to take how many strides per furlong in the race, as per your knowledge?

can you please tell me roughly?

Answer
hi --- every horse is a different size and length,  so every horse is different and that would make them take a different number of strides when racing, galloping or running. you would have to video the horse to see how many strides they take in a 1/8 miles. thanks ED HESS
