Sesmoid bones

2016/7/15 11:23:19

Question
My 3 yr old filly in training has been diagnosed with problems with her sesmoids.
Are there any treatments/training techniques which you can reccommend?
Many thanks.

Answer
hi -- sesmoid problems are a very serious problem. plenty of time to grow up and mature is the best advise i can give you. if you have sesmoid problems then you can also have tendon and suspensory problems also , which will lead to a very sore going horse and even a breakdown from these problems. your vet would advise you about her future in racing. thanks ED HESS
