racehorse training

Question
Hello,
I own a few racehorses that either stay at the track or are run out of the farm. Do you believe a racehorse should be at the track during racing or can this work out of a farm?

Answer
hi -- i have won races both ways. if you have a nervous fillie then the farm would probably work well for her. you can train just as good on the farm even if you do not have a training track. i use a 60 foot sand ring and train out of that, and win lots of races. some horses do need the race track and the every day training, and others do not do well of that type of training. so you will have to decide which horses to train off the farm and which to train on the track.  thanks ED HESS
