What is the critera for horses to enter a stakes race?

hi --there are many conditions in those types of races. such as fillies race, a colt and gelding race. winners of so much money to get in the race condition. races for only 3 year olds .races for older horses only. money earned is a big part of a stake race condition also. hope this helps you.
