Understanding Horse Racing Terminology: A Guide to Common Terms

Question
hello sir. may i know what does the terms
1) moved EASY
2) BEST SPURT OF THE DAY
3) MOVED WELL
4) PAIR FINISHED LEVEL

mean in racing terminology

Answer
Hi Caine,
         All pretty self explanatory really,
1.means the horse looked comfortable working and as not under pressure.
2.means probably a local comment comparing how the horse performed in work. A spurt probably refers to a short sprint.
3. means the same as 1.
4. means 2 horses ran together and neither was pushed to beat the other.
Most of these questions could be better answered by a local from the racing industry where you live. Why don't you ring up a local jockey or trainer and ask them?

Cheers,
Don
