hello sir, may i know how come some horses win races wearing steel shoes? why those horse's trainers prefer steel shoes rather than aluminum as aluminum is light in weight?

hi -- the alum shoes are lighter, but do not last more then a few races. steel shoes are stronger and last much longer and protect the horses feet much more then alum shoes. again it is up to the trainer on what type of shoes to use on their horses. thanks ED HESS
